The new vintage of Beaujolais opens this November 17. For this occasion, we have also created a special three-course menu. This day is called “Beaujolais Day” in France and is almost equivalent to a national holiday. There is even a special law in France that Beaujolais Nouveau cannot be sold/opened before the third Thursday in November.
Beaujolais Nouveau is a young, fresh, purplish-coloured wine from the Beaujolais wine region north of Lyon. Beaujolais Nouveau comes from the Gamay grape variety. The wine is characterised by a strong aroma with a fruity bouquet.
